CNC metal turning at Axinar is performed on a Haas ST-15Y turning centre — a 4-axis lathe (X, Z, Y, C) with live tooling and a Ø63mm bar feeder. Turning, milling, drilling and threading are all completed in a single setup.

The Y-axis enables off-centre machining — milling, holes, pockets — without transferring the part to a separate milling machine. This dramatically reduces cycle time and eliminates re-fixturing errors.

We machine steel, stainless steel (inox), aluminium, copper, brass and engineering polymers. Maximum dimensions Ø279 × 305mm. Combined with CNC milling, laser cutting and welding, we handle complete fabrications.

    What tolerances can you achieve on the lathe?
    The Haas ST-15Y lathe delivers positioning accuracy of ±0.01mm. For even tighter tolerances, please contact us to evaluate your requirements.
    What is the advantage of the Y-axis?
    The Y-axis enables off-centre milling, drilling and threading — meaning complete machining in a single setup, without transferring to a milling machine. This reduces cycle time and eliminates re-fixturing errors.
    What file formats do you require for drawings?
    We accept STEP, IGES, DXF, DWG, SolidWorks and PDF with full dimensions. We prefer 3D STEP files for faster CAM preparation.
    Do you make prototypes or only production runs?
    Both. We handle everything from single prototypes to batches of hundreds of parts. With the bar feeder, production runs operate automatically without operator intervention.
    What is the lead time?
    It depends on complexity and quantity. Typically, prototypes take 3–5 working days; production runs vary by volume. Send us your drawing for an accurate schedule.
