How it is wired in your home

The work SolBox does is invisible: it takes the power from the roof and sends it into the water. Three cables, no plumbing work.

The panels on the roofThey connect with a DC cable straight into SolBox. No inverter needed.
SolBox on the wallIt goes next to the water heater and drives the solar power into the heating element that is already there.
The water heater stays as it isNo pipework, no antifreeze, no circulation pump. The boiler works just as before.

The SolBox is an electronic device that converts the voltage from PV panels into the appropriate output to heat water through an electric resistance element. It operates with an MPPT (P&O) algorithm for maximum power extraction, is protected against high voltages and connects to the app via WiFi with SSL encryption. It can operate autonomously, without connection to the electrical grid.
