Sheet metal roll bending (plate rolling) is the process of cold bending of plates through rollers, so that the flat metal sheet acquires curvature — cylindrical, conical or elliptical. It is one of the fundamental methods of sheet metal forming in the metal industry. At Axinar in Thessaloniki we perform metal roll bending with the 4-roller DAVI MCA — a machine with Servo-Tronic CNC technology that ensures a uniform bending radius with no flat spots along the entire length of the plate.
Unlike conventional 3-roller machines, the 4-roller rolls both ends of the plate without the need to flip or re-roll — this means zero flat spots, greater accuracy and faster production time. Servo-Tronic technology CNC-controls the position of each roller independently, achieving conical part rolling and elliptical shape rolling with an accuracy that is not achievable in any 3-roller vs 4-roller comparison.
