Powder coating of metal parts — Axinar

Powder Coating
on Steel & Aluminium

Powder coating is the most widely used method of metal surface finishing. The powder is electrostatically charged, adheres uniformly to the surface and is cured in an oven at 180–220°C, forming a hard, durable film.

At Axinar powder coating is part of our complete production line. We fabricate, coat and deliver — no intermediaries. We exclusively use NEOKEM powders with the full RAL Classic palette, as well as special collections of metallic, matt and high-durability colours.

For structures requiring enhanced corrosion protection (industrial, marine or chemical environments), we can deliver C5-H category per EN ISO 12944 — a duplex system of hot-dip galvanizing with mechanical and chemical pre-treatment, followed by two coats of powder coating.

From Metal
to Final Finish

01

Pre-Treatment

Sandblasting or shot blasting for special cases — removal of rust, old paint and surface contaminants. Followed by phosphating or nanoceramics for optimum powder adhesion to the substrate.

02

Coating

Powder application with GEMA OptiFlow IG07-PA electrostatic spray guns. The electrostatically charged powder adheres uniformly to every point of the surface — no runs, no irregularities, no material waste.

03

Curing

The part enters an oven at 180–220°C. The powder melts, flows and forms a solid, hard film that does not peel, chalk or degrade under mechanical stress.

Consistent Powder Flow

Wide 135° angle with reduced wear — guarantees consistent powder flow over extended periods without interruption.

Plug & Convey

All connections with quick-release system. Fast disconnection and reconnection — zero production downtime.

Optimised Colour Change

Axial sealing and smooth-flow design minimise residual powder during colour changes.

DVC Technology

Combined with DVC technology, precise and repeatable film thickness is achieved — consistent results from part to part.

Low Operating Cost

Less air for more powder — reduced component wear and lower compressed air consumption.

C5

Corrosion Protection up to C5-H

For structures in industrial, marine or highly corrosive environments, we can deliver a system rated C5-H per EN ISO 12944 (High durability, 15–25 years). This is achieved through a duplex system: hot-dip galvanizing, mechanical and chemical pre-treatment, and two coats of powder coating with Qualisteelcoat certification.

Advantages of
Powder Coating

Corrosion Protection

The powder creates a solid barrier against moisture, UV, chemicals and mechanical stress. Combined with proper pre-treatment, protection lasts for years.

Aesthetic Quality

Uniform colour with no runs, on every angle and hidden surface. The range of finishes covers every aesthetic requirement — from industrial equipment to architectural elements.

Complete Fabrication

Cutting, press brake, welding, deburring, coating — one point of contact, one finished product ready for installation. No intermediaries, no delays.

Environmentally Friendly

Powder coating contains no solvents (VOC-free), produces no toxic waste and excess powder is recycled. Zero material waste.

Mechanical Durability

Resistant to scratches, impacts and abrasion. Textured finishes provide even greater resilience in daily use and industrial environments.

Easy Maintenance

Powder-coated surfaces clean easily with water or a mild detergent. No special maintenance or periodic recoating required.

    FAQ

    What is powder coating?
Powder coating is the application of a special powder to metal surfaces, electrostatically charged and then cured in an oven at 180–220°C. The result is a uniform, durable finish with corrosion protection.
What pre-treatment is carried out before coating?
Pre-treatment includes phosphating or nanoceramics depending on the substrate. For special cases (rust, old paint, scale) sandblasting or shot blasting is carried out first.
    What colours are available?
The full RAL Classic palette from NEOKEM, plus special collections: RAL Metallic (22 shades), RAL Matt Polyester (64 shades), Ammos Collection (high-durability, Qualicoat Class 2) and wood-effect designs.
    What finishes do you offer?
Smooth, textured, matt, gloss, semi-gloss, metallic and wood-effect (sublimation). The choice is made in consultation with the customer according to application requirements.
What is C5 category and why does it matter?
C5 category per EN ISO 12944 applies to high-corrosivity environments — industrial, marine or chemical. We can deliver a C5-H system (High durability, 15–25 years) with a duplex system of galvanizing and two coats of powder coating, certified to Qualisteelcoat.
Do you handle coating only or complete fabrication?
Powder coating is part of our complete production line — laser cutting, press brake, welding, deburring, coating. We deliver a finished product ready for installation.
