Secondary metal operations - Axinar

Completing
Manufacturing Projects

Secondary operations are the finishing steps that complete a manufacturing project — riveting, threading, stud welding, engraving. Without them, even the most precise laser cut or the finest weld is not enough to deliver a functional end product.

At Axinar, all secondary operations are performed in-house, fully integrated into the production line. This means zero outsourcing, controlled quality and faster lead times.

We work with parts in steel, stainless steel, aluminium, copper and brass — both one-off prototypes and series production runs.

What
We Handle

01

Rivets

Blind Rivets & Self-Clinching Fasteners

Permanent joining of light metal parts without thermal distortion. Blind rivets (pop rivets) for single-sided access and self-clinching fasteners for a flush surface finish.

  • Blind rivets (pop rivets) — aluminium, steel, stainless
  • Self-clinching PEM fasteners — nuts, studs, standoffs
  • Single-sided installation with no rear access required
  • Resistant to vibration and shear loads
  • Ideal for thin sheet metal 0.5–4 mm
02

Rivet Nuts

Rivet Nuts / Rivnuts

Threaded inserts installed single-sided, creating a permanent thread in thin metal — where conventional tapping would fail.

  • Thread sizes M3 to M10
  • Materials: steel, stainless steel, aluminium
  • Closed-end or open-end types
  • Flat head for flush finish or hex body for anti-rotation
  • Pneumatic tooling for consistent, repeatable installation
03

Stud Welding

Stud Welding — Capacitor Discharge

Direct welding of studs, nuts and pins onto metal using capacitor discharge (CD). The weld cycle completes in 1–6 ms — no distortion, no discolouration on the reverse side.

  • Capacitor discharge (CD) — 1 to 6 ms cycle
  • Threaded studs M3–M10 and pins
  • Zero backside distortion or marking
  • Full fusion across the entire diameter — stronger than the stud itself
  • Steel, stainless steel, aluminium, copper
04

Laser Marking

Fiber Laser Marking & Engraving

Permanent marking on metal surfaces using fiber laser. Text, logos, serial numbers, barcodes and QR codes — no consumables, no tool wear.

  • Text, logos, drawings
  • Serial numbers, barcodes, QR codes, Data Matrix
  • Steel, stainless steel, aluminium, copper, brass
  • Resistant to wear, chemicals and temperature
  • Part traceability per ISO/IEC TR 29158

Why
Secondary Operations at Axinar

Full Production Line

Cutting, forming, welding, secondary operations, finishing — all under one roof. One point of contact, one finished product.

Zero Delays

No outsourcing. Secondary operations run inline — immediately after welding, before coating or galvanizing.

Controlled Quality

Pneumatic tooling, calibrated parameters, pull-out testing. Every joint is verified before moving to the next stage.

Prototypes & Series

From a single prototype to production runs of thousands of parts — consistent quality and full repeatability.

Multiple Materials

Steel, stainless steel, aluminium, copper, brass. The method and consumables are matched to your material.

Traceability

Fiber laser marking with serial numbers, QR codes and Data Matrix — for full part traceability throughout the product lifecycle.

    FAQ

    What do secondary operations include?
Rivets (blind and self-clinching), rivet nuts, stud welding and fiber laser marking. These are secondary operations that complete our manufacturing projects.
    What are rivet nuts?
Rivet nuts are threaded inserts installed single-sided into sheet metal. They create a permanent thread in thin materials where conventional tapping would fail. Available in steel, stainless steel and aluminium, M3 to M10.
    How does stud welding work?
Stud welding uses capacitor discharge (CD). Stored energy is released in 1–6 milliseconds, simultaneously melting the tip of the stud and the base metal. The result is a full metallurgical bond with zero backside distortion.
    Which materials are supported?
Steel, stainless steel, aluminium, copper and brass. The method and consumables are selected according to the material and project requirements.
Can you engrave logos or codes on parts?
Yes. We use fiber laser to permanently mark text, logos, serial numbers, barcodes and QR codes on metal surfaces. The marking is resistant to wear, chemicals and temperature, compliant with ISO/IEC TR 29158.
Do you handle secondary operations only, or complete fabrication?
Secondary operations are part of our full production line — laser cutting, press brake, welding, deburring, secondary operations, galvanizing or powder coating. We deliver the finished product.
