Short answer

Axinar builds welded metal assemblies, machine frames and fabricated structures in steel, stainless steel and aluminium, to customer drawings. Twelve Fronius pulse MIG/MAG and TIG stations and 3 kW handheld laser welding keep distortion low, and critical features are machined after welding to ±0.02 mm on a Haas machining centre.

A welded assembly is where suppliers usually fail

A laser-cut part is easy to buy. A welded assembly is not, because its accuracy is not the accuracy of any single part. It is the sum of cutting tolerance, bending angle, fixture design, welding sequence and distortion control, and it only shows up when your fitter tries to mount a motor and the holes are two millimetres out.

Our welders come from pressure-boiler manufacturing, one of the least forgiving welding disciplines there is, and they work on 12 Fronius pulse stations that keep heat input and spatter low. We fixture the assembly, plan the weld sequence for distortion rather than for speed, and where a critical bore has to be exact, we machine it after welding on the Haas milling centre instead of hoping the weld stayed put.

The same building then deburrs, sandblasts and powder coats the assembly, or sends it to a certified plant for hot-dip galvanizing. You receive one item on one delivery note, not five parts and a welding problem.

What we need to quote an assembly

  • Assembly STEP file plus part files, so we can build the fixture from your geometry
  • Dimensioned PDF with the datums and the dimensions that must hold after welding
  • Weld specification, where seams are structural, where they are cosmetic, and which are sealed
  • Bought-in parts, who supplies bearings, motors, gaskets, glass or electrical components
  • Surface, ground and coated, hot-dip galvanized, or delivered raw for your own line
  • Test requirements, dimensional report, leak test, or a first article inspection before series

Frequently asked questions

Are your welders certified?

Axinar works under ISO 9001:2015 and our welders are trained and qualified for the work they do, with a background in pressure-boiler production. If your project needs welder qualifications to a specific standard or a named welding procedure, tell us at RFQ stage and we confirm what we hold and what we would certify for the project.

How do you control distortion on long frames?

Three ways. The parts arrive accurate, because they are laser cut at ±0.1 mm and bent with laser angle measurement at ±0.1°, so nothing is forced into place. The assembly is fixtured rather than tacked freehand. And the weld sequence is planned to balance heat, with pulse MIG or laser welding chosen where heat input is the risk.

Can you machine after welding?

Yes. A Haas VF-2 machining centre with 762 × 406 × 508 mm travel and ±0.02 mm positioning handles bores, mounting faces and dowel positions on welded frames. This is the normal answer when a drawing asks for a tolerance that welding alone cannot hold.

Do you supply the assembly coated?

Powder coating is in-house: sandblasting and phosphating, GEMA electrostatic application, curing at 180 to 200 °C, 60 to 120 µm, the full RAL range, Qualicoat and Qualisteelcoat processes. Hot-dip galvanizing to EN ISO 1461 runs at a certified partner plant for parts up to 8 m and 600 kg.

Will you build the welding fixtures?

Yes, and they stay here at our cost for repeat work. Fixtures are designed from your assembly model, so the tenth batch is built the same way as the first. If you want to own the fixture, that can be quoted separately.

Can you handle assemblies with bought-in components?

We do it routinely, from bearings and gas springs to electrical panels and glass. Either you supply the components to our store, or we buy to your approved vendor list. The assembly is then delivered complete, function checked where a check makes sense.
