Photovoltaic Mounts (Ground Mount & Rooftop)
The largest single category of galvanizing application in Greece today. PV mounts must withstand wind, rain, snow, but also agricultural chemicals or salt air.
- Ground mount piles: Steel piles driven into the ground, with 85+μm Zn thickness for buried protection
- C-profiles, Z-purlins: Support frame above the piles, bent and galvanized
- Rooftop mounting rails: Roof rails, typically Al 6082 or galvanized steel depending on project size
- Cross-braces, clamps, brackets: Smaller assembly components
- Special zones: For coastal installations, Magnelis (ZM430/ZM620) is preferred over plain hot-dip galvanizing
Tanks (Water, Oil, Fuel)
Storage tanks are a classic hot-dip galvanizing application, especially when contents don’t require inox.
- Irrigation water tanks: Suitable for agricultural uses, galvanizing protects from external corrosion
- Heating oil tanks: Low/medium capacity (500–5,000 L)
- Tank cabinets & covers: Additional protection components
- Pellet / grain storage silos: Hot-dip galvanized exterior, interior depends on contents
- Support frames: Tank legs, maintenance stairs, handrails
Steel Pipes (Galvanized Steel Pipes)
The galvanized steel pipe is one of the most common products, typically per DIN 2440 or EN 10255.
- Fire protection networks: Mandatorily galvanized pipes (safety standards)
- Outdoor water supply: Irrigation networks, agricultural
- Compressed air: Factory networks, temporary networks
- Structural constructions: Handrails, guardrails, stairs
